Chicken cook with kacang ma is a mother’s favourite especially after giving birth. Today, we can also find it as a dish sold at food outlet. For me, I like it best served with local brewed distillated rice wine. And, if you want to learn how to cook this dish, serve to Dyeyen’s How to cook Kacang Ma site
Emperor chicken. They used Kampung chicken for this. which is good, means it wasn’t injected with hormones and it had a good life running here and there. Smile But sad when it was slaughtered. Sorry chicken. But you were tasty. They marinated you well, and you were tender though you were a Kampung chicken.

Spicy curry soup with a twist. Coconut based curry tasty rich concentrated curry broth, steaming hot, noodles with garnishes thrown in. Meat, typically chicken as a non-vegetable added kick. Eating this dish in the tropics (like Malaysia or Singapore) where the humidity is high, and you sit and eat, and feel like you are in a sauna, is the real experience of eating this dish: Not in an airconditioned restaurant. Anyway this site is all about laksa, how to cook it and where I have found it in my travels.
Surprise Stir Fried Rice is a name I came up with because I had no idea what I was going to put in this stir fry dish.  I was asked to do a dish for my google+ community utilizing rice.  I have a couple dishes on here that use rice but thought the possibilities are endless.  I had some left over beef tips that I thawed out as well as the vegetables utilized below.  My measurements are a bit different with this dish due to the fact that I really just eyeballed them. This dish was delicious.  I mean it had heat, it had sweetness, and it had spice.  It had flavors from Chinese, Thai, and other Asian cuisines. I'm not quite sure the raspberry chipotle sauce added much as I could not distinguish it from the rest so you could eliminate this step. Overall I would definitely make this dish again.  It was quick, easy, and the flavors all went well together.  Two bowls and I was satisfied. Surprise Stir Fry.
This is a very delicious chicken dish, although not traditional Chinese, is popular in Western countries. Through my observation, it is rather typical for non-Chinese to order sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice in a Chinese restaurant and more so at a Takeaway. Guess who is a fan. So being the 'best girlfriend' as quoted by M that very Saturday for being his personal shopping assistant, I decided to top it up with his favourite sweet and sour chicken; deep-fried battered chicken coated with sweet and sour sauce.

Umai - Umai (Umei), This is a dish for the brave. The umai is traditionally a standard lunch meal for the Melanau fisherman.  Thin slivers of raw fresh fish, usually iced but not frozen, combined with thinly scliced onions, chili, salt and juice from sour fruits like lime or assam go into preparing this dish.  The dish is usually accompanied by a bowl of toasted sago pearls and is so simple that fishermen prepare it easily on their boats.
Ayam Pansuh - The Iban dish of Manok Pansoh (ayam Pansuh) or chicken in bamboo is a must try.  Cut chicken pieces, mushrooms, lemongrass and tapioca leaves are stuffed into bamboos and cooked over an open fire.  This seals in the flavour and the result is succulent and juicy tender chicken, with gravy hinting of lemongrass and bamboo.

The Sarawak Laksa is essentially vermicelli rice noodles (bee hoon), cooked in a shrimp-based broth that is made to thicken with coconut milk.  This dish is served with generous amounts of crunchy bean sprouts, a few boiled prawns and garnished with shredded chicken and slivers of egg omelette.  For added spice, there's the thick sambal paste that is usually served on the side.  For some extra pizzazz you can squeeze some lime juice (limau kasturi) into your dish as well.
